Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

The Hollywood Hub is a collaborative project between LA Council District 13 (Office of Hugo Soto-Martínez), the Compassion Connection program at the Hollywood Adventist Church, and Homeless Health Care Los Angeles.
Building on the legacy of Compassion Connection and Homeless Health Care's work with individuals experiencing housing challenges, the Hub expands on available resources and support. Our team provides a range of services designed to meet both the physical and systemic challenges of our guests, while assisting those seeking to transition out of homelessness.
We are open Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm including most major holidays.

Compassion Connection Showers are a foundational program of Compassion Connection, serving individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship through the Hollywood Hub in Los Angeles. The program provides reliable access to clean, private shower facilities—meeting one of the most basic yet often unmet needs for those living without stable housing.
What began as a simple act of opening church facilities to a few individuals in need has grown into a structured, high-impact service that supports thousands of guests each year. Recognizing that access to hygiene is essential not only for health, but also for dignity and self-confidence, Compassion Connection developed a system that allows guests to schedule shower appointments in a safe, respectful, and efficient environment.
The program is intentionally designed to remove common barriers. Guests are welcomed into a clean, well-maintained space where they are treated with respect and care. By offering scheduled access, the program reduces long wait times and creates a more predictable and dignified experience.
Beyond meeting an immediate physical need, Compassion Connection Showers often serves as a critical first point of connection. Through consistent, trust-based interactions, guests are introduced to additional resources including clothing through the Compassion Boutique, meals, and co-located case management services. This model creates a pathway for individuals to move from meeting basic needs toward accessing healthcare, housing support, and long-term stability.
As part of the broader Hollywood Hub ecosystem, Compassion Connection Showers plays a vital role in a holistic approach to care—one that recognizes that dignity, trust, and human connection are essential components of transformation.
At its core, the program reflects a simple belief: access to something as fundamental as clean running water should never be out of reach.

Designed to meet the everyday needs of individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or housing instability, the Boutique provides access to essential items in a way that restores choice, dignity, and self-worth.
Unlike traditional distribution models, the Compassion Boutique is intentionally designed to function as a retail-style environment where guests can “shop” for clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and other essentials at no cost. This approach empowers individuals to select items that meet their personal needs and preferences, creating a more humanizing and respectful experience.
The Boutique was developed in response to a critical gap identified through Compassion Connection’s hygiene services—many guests accessing showers did not have clean clothing or basic necessities afterward. What began as a simple solution has grown into a vital program serving thousands of individuals each year.
Stocked through partnerships with community members, nonprofits, and corporate donors, the Compassion Boutique redistributes new and like-new items directly to those who need them most. By redirecting surplus and donated goods, the program not only meets urgent needs but also promotes sustainability and reduces waste.
As part of the broader Hollywood Hub model, the Compassion Boutique is integrated with co-located services such as meals, hygiene facilities, and case management. This holistic approach helps remove barriers, build trust, and create pathways for individuals to move toward stability, health, and housing.
At its core, the Compassion Boutique exists to communicate a simple but powerful message: every person deserves to be treated with dignity and has inherent value.

The Stained Glass Dinner is a signature meal program of the Hollywood Hub, providing high-quality, chef-curated meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Los Angeles. Served Monday through Friday in the Hub’s dining room, the program offers a welcoming space where guests can gather and enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal with dignity and community.
In partnership with a culinary arts training program, Stained Glass Dinner delivers more than just nourishment—it offers a flavorful tour of global cuisine, with menus inspired by diverse cultures and crafted with care by emerging culinary professionals. This collaboration not only elevates the dining experience for guests but also creates meaningful workforce development opportunities for individuals pursuing careers in the culinary field.
Meal service begins at 11:30 AM and is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Each meal is designed to be both nutritious and satisfying, reflecting the program’s commitment to quality, hospitality, and respect for every guest.
As part of the broader Hollywood Hub model, the Stained Glass Dinner plays an important role in creating a consistent point of connection for the community. For many guests, the dining room becomes a place of stability—where relationships are built, trust is established, and pathways to additional services such as hygiene support, clothing, and case management can begin.
At its heart, the Stained Glass Dinner is about more than food—it is about creating an experience where every individual is welcomed, valued, and invited to the table.

The Fluff & Fold Laundry Service at the Hollywood Hub provides individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship with access to clean clothing through a simple, dignified, and supportive process. Recognizing that access to laundry is often an overlooked but essential need, the program helps remove a critical barrier to health, confidence, and daily stability.
Guests are able to drop off their clothing to be professionally washed, dried, and folded by staff and volunteers, allowing them to focus on other priorities while their laundry is being cared for. This service is especially impactful for individuals who may not have the time, resources, or safe access to traditional laundromats.
More than just a convenience, the Fluff & Fold service is designed to create a respectful and restorative experience. Clean clothing can significantly improve a person’s sense of dignity and readiness for opportunities such as employment, housing appointments, and healthcare visits.
As part of the Hollywood Hub’s integrated model of care, laundry services are offered alongside meals, showers, the Compassion Boutique, and case management. This co-located approach ensures that guests can meet multiple essential needs in one place while building consistent relationships with staff and service providers.
By addressing a basic but critical need, the Fluff & Fold Laundry Service plays an important role in helping individuals move from daily survival toward stability and renewed confidence.
At its core, the program reflects a simple belief: something as fundamental as clean clothing should be accessible to everyone.

Case Management Services at the Hollywood Hub provide personalized, relationship-based support to individuals working to move from instability toward long-term housing, health, and self-sufficiency. Designed to address the complex challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness or financial hardship, the program offers consistent guidance, advocacy, and access to critical resources.
At the core of the model is a co-located, low-barrier approach. By integrating case management directly alongside essential services—such as meals, showers, laundry, and the Compassion Boutique—the Hollywood Hub removes many of the traditional obstacles that prevent individuals from accessing help. Guests are able to build trust with case managers over time in a familiar and welcoming environment, making it easier to take the next steps toward stability.
Case managers work one-on-one with guests to assess their unique circumstances and develop individualized plans that may include:
This ongoing, personalized engagement allows case managers to meet guests where they are, helping them navigate systems that can often feel overwhelming or inaccessible.
A key strength of the Hollywood Hub’s approach is consistency. Because guests regularly return for daily services, case managers are able to maintain frequent contact—strengthening relationships, increasing accountability, and accelerating progress toward goals.
As part of the broader mission of the Hollywood Hub, Case Management Services are rooted in dignity, respect, and the belief that every individual has the capacity for change when given the right support.
By pairing hope with practical, sustained support, the program helps create real pathways out of homelessness and into a more stable and hopeful future.
